Albarino & Alvarinho: Uncorked & Amplified – A Grand Tasting showcasing over 75 different Albarino wines from great producers all over the world, including Spain, Portugal, the United States and more. Joined by the 1st ever wine industry’s Battle of the Bands featuring Punch Down, 10 on 6 and The David Bowler Band. A Celebration of the diversity of Albarino and a Rock and Roll welcome to Summer!
Olé & Obrigado, an importer of fine wines from the Iberian Peninsula, together with Wheeling Forward, a non-profit organization devoted to helping people with disabilities, will host this inaugural Albarino & Alvarinho Grand Tasting on Sunday, May 19th to celebrate the diversity of Albarino, a noble grape variety. Enjoy live music from three local bands and delicious food pairings, such as ceviche and pulpo a feira (typical of Galicia) along with other culinary delicacies, to complement the wines. Fast Track classes led by top Iberian winemakers and educators will also be available for those who wish to learn more about the diverse expressions of Albariño. All profits from this celebration will be donated to Wheeling Forward to support its efforts to help people with disabilities experience life to the fullest.
